« They will answer each and every mail of mine and explain every progress to me...

I am resident of Ontario. I used CanadianVisas service for processing my passport application which was a difficult case. Their service was excellent. They regularly followed up with the application till it was processed. I am very impressed with their working pattern. I dealt with Nir and Brittany and both were not only excellent professionals but also very very patient and nice people.

I would bombard them with regular mails right after starting my application and they will answer each and every mail of mine and explain every progress to me, never once getting irritated. I also have another visa applied through them which is in the last stage of processing. I will highly recommend any one who is looking for genuine and honest immigration related services. »

Work in
Canada

Apply for a work permit to take a job within Canada as an individual from a foreign country. If you are from another country and want to work in Canada, you usually need to obtain a work permit.

  • To apply for a work permit you:
  • Need a job offer from a Canadian employer
  • Prove that you can perform the job stated in the job offer with relevant work experience
  • Convince an immigration officer that you will leave Canada once your work permit expires.
  • Demonstrate that you possess sufficient funds to support yourself and any accompanying family members during your stay in Canada and for your return journey.
  • Adhere to the laws and present a clean criminal record (you may be requested to provide a police clearance certificate).
  • Not pose a threat to the security of Canada.
  • Be in good health and undergo a medical examination if necessary.
  • Not intend to work for an employer who is classified as "ineligible" on the list of employers who have failed to meet the required conditions.
  • Furnish any additional documents requested by the immigration officer to substantiate your admissibility into the country.
  • Open Work Permit

An open work permit allows the holder to work for any employer in Canada, with a few exceptions.

This means that the holder is not tied to a specific job or employer and can freely change jobs as they see fit.

Open work permits are typically granted to individuals who are already in Canada, such as spouses or dependents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

They may also be granted to individuals who have applied for Canadian immigration and are waiting for their permanent residency application to be processed

  • Employer-specific work permit

On the other hand, an employer-specific work permit is tied to a specific job and employer.

This means that the holder can only work for the employer named on the permit. Employer-specific work permits are typically granted to individuals who are coming to Canada to work for a specific employer.

The employer must first submit a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to the Government of Canada to demonstrate that they have been unable to find a suitable Canadian citizen or permanent resident to fill the job.
